With the removal of the fortunes-off package from Debian (see #1024501 or #1076363 or #1081133), where do we get these likable Rodney Dangerfield quotes?

Well, these are gone now and we needed to install them manually:

sudo apt install recode librecode-dev
git clone https://salsa.debian.org/debian/fortune-mod.git
cd fortune-mod
make
sudo install -D -m0644 -t /usr/local/share/games/fortunes/off datfiles/off/*

And with that, all these lovely (and sometimes ugly) quotes are back:

$ fortune -o -m "Mae West"
Come up and see me sometime.  Come Wednesday, that's amateur night.
